This piece is Untitled. The medium used is 2HB pencil, paper (8.5” x 11”), and photo manipulation. The intended theme that this piece expresses is the mixed emotions and the confusion that clouds the everyday. The idea for this piece originated from the growing realization that we are all just piled on with work. People hold such high expectations and we seldom have time for ourselves. The mixed emotions draws from the fact that we have so much on our plate and the only way the mind can cope is by blasting multiple and clashing thoughts together. The style draws from Vincent van Gogh’s “Starry Night”, and was used because I felt that all our feelings (though disruptive and inconsistent) find a way to become cohesive.
