Remembering Kobe Bryant

 On January 26th, a helicopter with nine people on board crashed in Calabasas. The famous basketball player Kobe Bryant and his second oldest daughter Gianna were among the victims of this crash. The helicopter was headed toward the Mamba Sports Academy where Kobe Bryant coached Gianna’s team. The cause of this helicopter crash is still unknown.   Many basketball fans and players could not believe Kobe Bryant has passed away. Born in 1978 and died at the age of 41, Kobe Bryant has earned many honors and legendary career achievements: NBA Most Valuable Player, five NBA championships, two-time NBA Finals MVP, eighteen-time NBA All-Star, eleven-time All NBA First Team, etc. Retired in 2016, Kobe Bryant scored 60 points in his last NBA game against Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Lakers.   According to Kobe’s wife Vanessa, Mamba Sports Foundations renamed to Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation in honor of Kobe Bryant and Gianna. Kobe Bryant’s memorial service will take place on February 24th, and the tickets range from $24.02 to $224. The ticket sales will be donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation to help provide more opportunities for young people to play sports.
